Daniel Gjokjeski

Senior Facilitator

Country of origin: I was born in Macedonia, formerly known internationally as the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and since 2018 recognized as North Macedonia by its constitution and the international community. Let`s say I am a Mediterranean dish with a Balkan flavor :)

Date started with Soliya: 2017

Education and field of work: I have a BA degree in Political Science and an MA degree in Political Management from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, MSc degree in Public Policy from University College London, and Master course in International Development from the University of Oslo. I am a social artisan with extensive experience in program development for education in the fields of social sciences, and skills with a special focus on leadership development and youth empowerment.

One accomplishment you're proud of: Having attended around 30 informal educational youth programs mostly around Europe in my 20s that let me gain unique experiences and allows me to excel in my work and development today.

What about Soliya inspires/motivates you to be involved? We explore the authenticity of individual voices by sharing the burden of biases and enhancing the awareness about the millions of cultures in the world, person by person.

What can you be found doing when not working/facilitating/training? Enjoying outdoor activities with family and friends; dreaming about or being at the beach; listening to all kinds of music, but enjoying most funky jazz by day and techno house by night; and watching movies that can spark conversation about the state of humankind. I find contentment when I practice ashtanga yoga and mindfulness.
