Senior Facilitator; Facilitation Fellow, Spring 2019
Country of origin: USA
Date started with Soliya: 2018
Field of work: I am a public health professional, a coach, a mediator, a mentor, and a mom. I’m studying to become a teacher. I work with the health center program, in mission critical organizations, and with leadership in transition.
One accomplishment that you're proud of: I am training to become a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages. It was during a session that it became really clear to the group that being able to speak, write, and understand English is a way out of poverty, globally.
What about Soliya inspires/motivates you to be involved? When my students grow suddenly quiet with an understanding of who they are and how they are in relationship to each other, it is priceless.
What can you be found doing when not working/facilitating/training? Writing poetry, working in or with anti-poverty programs, and doing homework. And in my daughter’s words, I am being an amazing inspirational mother who she looks up to. Five inches from now, I will be looking up to her.
