Mohamed Algretli

Senior Facilitator; Spring 2020 CP Facilitation Fellow

Country of origin: Libya

Date started with Soliya: 2018

Education and field of work: I have a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering. Now, I am taking my training where I get the chance every day to work on a special piece of art where the creativity of the human mind is demonstrated. I also participated in the Middle East Partnership Initiative and this is where I got my first glance at dialogue and how it could be a powerful tool to understand people’s hidden perspectives.

One accomplishment you're proud of: Every single new day is a new opportunity and I am proud of those days when I accepted challenges that changed part of my life. Yet, a notable accomplishment that I am going to be proud of will result from a series of successful accomplishments that take a long time to just remind us of how wonderfully this is meant to be.

What about Soliya inspires/motivates you to be involved? It is very difficult nowadays to have a deep conversation with a stranger from the first meeting. Soliya is the perfect place to make that happen. With its safe space and curiosity-driven methods, I am eager and pleased to participate and be part of this wonderful platform that connects people from all over the world regardless of their differences and status. Every minute I spend with people from Soliya, I get inspired and motivated!

What can you be found doing when not working/facilitating/training? You will find me looking for opportunities where I can reveal my hidden skills.

Favorite food: PAELLA OF COURSE!
