Country of origin: I am Tunisian, born in Tunisia and raised in Bahreïn and Tunisia.
Date started with Soliya: 2017
Education and field of work: I have a BA in English language, literature, and civilization and I am completing my Master of Arts thesis in English Intercultural Studies from the High Institute of Human Sciences at Tunis University El Manar. I have also studied at the University of Iowa for the academic year 2019-2020. At the University of Iowa I completed four graduate courses: three courses in education and one course in counseling.
One accomplishment you're proud of: I was the Tunisian Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at The University of Iowa, in the United States, for the academic year 2019-2020. While there, I taught MSA, conversation, and dialects; held a grammar table; and helped other students translate from English into Arabic.
What about Soliya inspires/motivates you to be involved? Being with Soliya is helping me become a better professional as I am gaining expertise from facilitating, coaching, and communicating with Soliya’s community of talented individuals. I am looking forward to helping students communicate with one another from across the globe and acquire multicultural sensitivity around controversial topics.
