Tasha Abdou

Facilitation Fellow, Fall 2019

Country of origin: Cameroon

Date started with Soliya: 2017

Education and field of work: I was educated in marketing and I did university studies in psychology, but my time is mostly spent working as a trainer and peer support group facilitator for youth and adults, as well as people in challenging situations of life.

One accomplishment you're proud of: Having initiated and successfully carried out the Power to Choose program, which is a youth leadership program in GBHS Deido, Douala, Cameroon.

What about Soliya inspires/motivates you to be involved? Helping youth from different cultural backgrounds get to know each other’s motivation, desires, hopes, and aspirations. This can certainly help bring understanding amongst the world’s people that can easily usher in a new era of peace and collaboration.

What can you be found doing when not working/facilitating/training? Reading, working on IT projects, or helping Francophone students speak English.

Favorite food: Roasted fish.
