Facilitation Fellowship - Spring 2019
Soliya Facilitation Fellowship
We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in becoming a Soliya Facilitation Fellow in the Spring 2019 semester. As a fellow, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of Soliya’s network of talented fellows, develop your craft through intensive solo facilitation, gain exposure to a wide range of facilitation approaches through observations and weekly debriefs, play a key role in Program design and implementation, and gain a behind the scenes understanding of the Connect Program.
The paid Facilitation Fellowship for the Connect Program is a great opportunity for Soliya-trained facilitators who are committed to Soliya’s mission and are looking to deepen their involvement with the organization and our volunteer community, while honing practical skills in facilitation, coaching, and quality control systems. The Fellowship requires the ability to facilitate 4-5 sessions per week, observe sessions live, daily, lead and attend support gatherings and team meetings. We have part time (20hr/week) and full time (40hr/week) options available.
Applicants must have at least 2 successful semesters of facilitation with Soliya (those with coaching experience are preferred). Excellent communication and writing skills, solid computer skills and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite a must.

Quality Control & Evaluations Internship - Spring 2019
Soliya Internship Program
We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in supporting our quality control system for successful cross-cultural exchange for our Spring 2019 internship program. The intern will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in intercultural communications and working in an international team. This is a unique opportunity to get practical experience working with a growing nonprofit empowering young adults in Western and predominantly Muslim societies to establish more cooperative and compassionate relations within and between their societies by combining the power of dialogue with the reach of new media.
Quality Control & Evaluations Internship
As the Quality Control and Evaluations Intern you will be an active member of the Connect Program Team working to ensure quality programming and a great experience for students and facilitators alike. The intern will learn about Soliya’s quality control processes, facilitation skills, as well as learn about coaching and observation. Tasks include, but are not limited to; database entry, Online Curriculum work, and Program tracking. The QC Intern will also join us in weekly meetings and identifying and troubleshooting needs as necessary. The intern will be required to participate in the coach induction, facilitate 1 Connect Global group and 1 Connect Express group, observe 1 to 2 sessions per week and participate in community discussions, events and support systems.
If you are passionate about our mission and have a desire to expand on your skills in inter-cultural dialogue, consider interning with Soliya. As a key member of the Connect Program team you’ll be involved in behind the scenes Program management, expand your knowledge of inter-cultural facilitation and develop your skills working in an international virtual work environment.
We’re looking for a candidate who has an eye for detail, is able to work both as a team player and perform independently, is organized, and has great writing skills. You must have at least 1 semester of facilitation experience with Soliya, computer skills and literacy in working with both Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
The Internship will run between February and May (dates flexible for the right candidate). You’ll work an approximate 2 -5 hours a day (15- 20 hours a week), working hours are flexible to some extent, depending on time zone and should at least have some overlap with Program hours (Mon-Thurs 6:30am- 2:30pm EST). This position can be done remotely.
