This year we partnered with the University of Massachusetts Boston—the Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security, and Global Governance—to engage a robust cohort of new facilitators. Here they are at the university's pre-graduation department event. Pictured, from left to right and top to bottom, are Enrico Manalo, Cherif Ag Mohamed Ibrahim, Richard Barbieri, Imani Penn, Karen Ross, Nanore Barsoumian, and Saadia Ahmad. Not pictured but still appreciated are Kweta Henry and Leila Dieye.
Dr. Karen Ross, assistant professor at the McCormack Graduate School at UMass Boston and long-time Soliya partner professor, receives the 2017 UMass Boston Innovation in Online Teaching Award. Read here.
"Homogeneity doesn’t exist. We just pretend it does when we are facing a group that is different or antagonistic to us." -- Rafael Tyszblat, Soliya Custom Solutions Manager, as part of his "Ask Me Anything" with the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development. Read his whole session in The Blue Dot magazine here (page 39).
Connect Program alumni in Tunisia hosted a reunion to celebrate the Spring 2017 semester at the Higher Institute of Languages at Gabes. These alumni represent participants from the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters, and many of them have participated or will go on to participate in our facilitation training. Go Soliyans!
